CJP EXTENDS SOLIDARITY TO INDIA BLOC’S ELECTORAL PROTEST, BUT RULES OUT JOINING RALLY

November 1, 2026

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke met Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee in New Delhi on October 31, expressing solidarity with the INDIA bloc’s planned rally against alleged electoral irregularities while making clear that his organisation would not formally participate in the protest.

Dipke said the CJP supported the November 1 rally at Ramlila Maidan but intended to preserve its independent and politically neutral identity. He stated that the organisation would support all groups campaigning against alleged “vote theft”, regardless of their political affiliations.

Dipke said his meeting with Banerjee was primarily to thank her for supporting the CJP’s youth-led demonstrations, including its protest at Jantar Mantar over the NEET examination paper leak issue. He also acknowledged her support when CJP activists Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were arrested by Delhi Police.

Banerjee praised Dipke and the young activists for their role in protests concerning the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the Election Commission. She welcomed their solidarity with the upcoming rally and invited them to organise programmes in West Bengal, leaving the decision to the CJP leadership.

The INDIA bloc’s rally is expected to raise allegations of irregularities in electoral rolls and demand accountability from the Election Commission. The CJP’s position signals support for the opposition’s stated concerns over voting rights while maintaining a distinction between solidarity with the campaign and formal participation in a political alliance’s protest.
