NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a renewed national effort to transform India into a developed country by 2047, urging citizens to adopt a collective determination towards achieving the long-term goal.
Addressing the nation’s development agenda, Modi introduced the slogan “We will do it” as a call for collective action and confidence in India’s ability to achieve developed-nation status by the centenary of Independence.
The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of sustained economic growth, technological advancement, infrastructure development and improvements in the quality of life to realise the vision. He also highlighted the role of young Indians in shaping the country’s future and contributing to national development.
The 2047 target has become a central element of the government’s long-term development strategy, encompassing economic expansion as well as improvements in education, healthcare, manufacturing, innovation and employment.
Modi said the objective would require continued efforts from governments, businesses, institutions and citizens rather than being achieved through government action alone. The new slogan is intended to reinforce the message of collective responsibility and national participation in the effort to build a developed India by 2047.
