TUCKER CARLSON WARNS OF POSSIBLE US NUCLEAR STRIKE ON IRAN, ALLEGES NETANYAHU PRESSURE
November 2, 2026
WASHINGTON, NOVEMBER 2: American conservative journalist and commentator Tucker Carlson has warned that US President Donald Trump could consider using nuclear weapons against Iran under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, raising concerns about a potentially catastrophic escalation of the ongoing conflict.
Carlson claimed that the possible target could be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence alleges that Tehran has resumed its nuclear enrichment programme. He argued that conventional American weapons might be unable to penetrate the underground facilities and alleged that Netanyahu had been pressing Trump to consider a nuclear strike. These claims have not been independently established.
Carlson further suggested that Netanyahu's political position could be linked to the continuation of the conflict and alleged that senior American officials were supporting efforts to resume major military operations against Iran. He warned that a nuclear attack could have consequences extending far beyond West Asia, potentially establishing a dangerous precedent for other international conflicts.
He also raised concerns about radioactive contamination of the Persian Gulf, global energy supplies and the possibility of further nuclear escalation involving other countries. Carlson claimed that Russia had warned other governments that an American nuclear strike could alter calculations in conflicts involving Ukraine, India and Pakistan, and North Korea and South Korea.
Meanwhile, diplomatic contacts between Washington and Tehran are continuing through intermediaries, including Qatar, although recent discussions have reportedly failed to produce a breakthrough. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that exchanges were ongoing and said Tehran's proposal for ending the war remained the basis of negotiations.
Russia expressed serious concern over reports of renewed military action, while China called for political solutions instead of further escalation. The developments come amid growing international anxiety over the prolonged conflict and the possibility of a wider regional confrontation.
