BJP PRESIDENT NITIN NABIN ACCUSES RAHUL GANDHI OF WORKING IN FAVOUR OF FOREIGN INTERESTS TO DESTABILISE INDIA

November 2, 2026

KOLKATA: BJP president Nitin Nabin has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of being used by foreign powers to destabilise India, escalating the political confrontation between the ruling BJP and the principal opposition party.

Nabin made the allegation while criticising Gandhi's political activities and statements, particularly his repeated attacks on the government over electoral integrity and the functioning of democratic institutions. The BJP president alleged that certain foreign forces were attempting to weaken India's political stability and claimed that Gandhi's actions were serving their interests.

The remarks come amid an intensifying political dispute following the INDIA bloc's rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, where opposition leaders criticised the Election Commission and demanded the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over allegations concerning electoral irregularities and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The BJP has repeatedly criticised the opposition's allegations, accusing its leaders of undermining constitutional institutions. Congress, meanwhile, has defended its campaign, maintaining that questioning electoral procedures and demanding institutional accountability are legitimate democratic activities.

Nabin's latest remarks have added another dimension to the continuing political confrontation between the BJP and Congress, with allegations concerning foreign interference, national stability and electoral transparency becoming increasingly prominent in the political debate.

The allegation against Rahul Gandhi remains a political claim made by the BJP president and has not, by itself, established any evidence of foreign direction or interference.
