DIVERSION CLAIMS SURROUND SECOND FLYDUBAI FLIGHT AS TEL AVIV-BOUND JOURNEY CONTINUES

September 30, 2026

Conflicting reports emerged on Wednesday over the status of a second Flydubai flight travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv, after initial information suggested that the aircraft had diverted and was returning to the United Arab Emirates.

The flight, FZ1081, attracted attention after flight-tracking reports indicated a possible change to its route. The reports raised further questions about air travel between the UAE and Israel amid heightened regional security concerns.

However, subsequent clarification from Israeli media indicated that the reported diversion was erroneous and that the aircraft was continuing its scheduled journey to Tel Aviv. Flight-tracking information also showed the flight operating on its planned route.

The confusion followed an earlier incident involving another Flydubai flight, FZ1073, which was diverted to Tabuk in Saudi Arabia after an emergency alert while travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The airline confirmed that the aircraft landed safely and that all passengers were accounted for.

The two separate developments prompted heightened attention to flights operating between Dubai and Israel, although no confirmed evidence indicated that the second aircraft had encountered a similar emergency.

The differing reports highlighted the uncertainty that can arise from preliminary flight-tracking information during unfolding aviation incidents.
